Trondheim Cross: This pewter crucifix features Christ on the cross. Is it absolutely typical of Norse crosses of the later Viking period. It is executed in Ringerike style ornament. Dancing Man: This pewter figure is a representation of a dancing man or dancing god. Similar figures are found on the gold foils which decorate the Sutton Hoo helmet which is believed to have been made by a Swedish craftsman. This pendant dates to circa 800 and is based on a surviving example which was discovered at Eckhämmar, Kungsangen, Sweden and is now preserved in the Statens Historiska Museum, Stockholm (Inv # 30245:6). 1 1/2 inches tall. $5.00. in pewter |

Raven Pendant: A fine raven pendant based upon the shield boss from the Sutton Hoo ship burial. The raven was the Viking symbol of the god Odin the All-father, the most powerful of all the Norse gods. He was the patron of both battle and poetry. Gotstad Animal Pendant: While this piece was originally a belt fitting or a harness mount, it has been rendered here as a fine brass pendant.
